300 Watt PEP Amplifier
Plasma Sonics Ltd. Co. offers a 300 watt PEP amplifier specifically designed for pulsed energy ISM device applications . The large accessory capacitor acts as an energy storage media to assure high frequency output capability. Modifications have been made which limits this amplifier to Part 18 ISM usage. This amplifier will operate at pulse rates over 100 KHz for prolonged periods without failure. When coupled with a good impedance match to it's output, temperatures typically run about 38 degrees C in prolonged operation. This amplifier is specifically designed to operate with the OM-1 transmitter and Plasma Sonics Ltd. Co.'s plasma tube impedance matcher.
It is not recommended that this amplifier be used in continuous duty with any plasma tube antenna tuner other than that provided by Plasma Sonics Ltd. Co. . Thousands of hours of usage, coupled with years of experience, has shown that any standard antenna tuner, regardless of it's power rating , will eventually fail when driven at the power level provided by this amplifier. The reason is that all antenna tuners are power rated for intermittent usage only.

Frequency - Designed and developed specifically for use at 27.125 MHz.
Power Requirements - 13.8VDC @ 27 amperes. Based on 70% square wave duty cycle at 15 KHz pulse rate into plasma tube. Different applications , with different drivers, may require significantly higher amperage.
Modulated Power: 300 watts PEP typical into a plasma tube when driven by the OM-1
Un-modulated Power - Typically 80 - 90 watts carrier when driven by the OM-1
Modulated Power Swing when driven by OM-1 - Typically 220 to 230 Watts PEP.
